L'équipe de basketball américaine des "Benedictine Eagles" a été fondée en 1913 à Atchison, au Kansas. L'équipe participe à la division des hommes de la National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) au sein de la Heart of America Athletic Conference (HAAC).

Les Eagles ont remporté 17 championnats nationaux NAIA, le dernier en 2019. Ils ont également remporté 12 championnats de conférence HAAC, le dernier en 2022.

L'actuel entraîneur-chef des Eagles est Ryan Moody, qui en est à sa cinquième saison à la tête du programme.

Les Eagles jouent leurs matchs à domicile au Ralph Nolan Gymnasium sur le campus de l'Université bénédictine.
