Wikipedia - Liga de Desenvolvimento de Basquete

Liga de Desenvolvimento de Basquete (LDB) (English: Developmental Basketball League) is an Under-20 age version of the top-tier level Brazilian men's professional basketball league, the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). The players need to be 20 years old and under to play in this tournament. It is a way to discover new players for future Brazilian national team generations, and for new young talents to be developed for the main teams of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB).

However, not all the teams that make up the NBB also compete in the LDB, due to not having competitive teams in the lower Brazilian basketball league categories. So some teams focus instead on the training of their young athletes, or participate as guests, and can still help to produce good future players for Brazilian basketball. LDB receives support from the Brazilian Federal Government to be organized.

Le Brésil LDB U20 est un tournoi de basket-ball national pour les joueurs de moins de 20 ans au Brésil. La compétition est organisée par la Ligue nationale de développement de basket-ball (LDB) et a été fondée en 2019. Le tournoi se déroule chaque année, avec des équipes de tout le Brésil en compétition. Le format du tournoi change chaque année, mais il comprend généralement une phase de groupes suivie d’une phase à élimination directe. Le champion du tournoi se qualifie pour le tournoi de la Ligue des champions de basket-ball des Amériques (BCLA).

Le Brésil LDB U20 est une compétition importante pour les jeunes basketteurs brésiliens, car elle leur offre une opportunité de perfectionner leurs compétences et de concourir au plus haut niveau. Le tournoi a produit un certain nombre de joueurs qui ont ensuite évolué en NBA, notamment Bruno Caboclo et Cristiano Felicio.
